Shailja Mehta

Director, Dasra

Shailja leads the 10to19 Dasra Adolescents Collaborative, overseeing operations, partnerships and financial management. She was a founding member of Aangan, and is a Dasra Social Impact Fellow (2012), a Ford Motor Company Fellow (2012), and an Ananta Aspen India Initiative Fellow (2013).


Her prior experience includes managing public relations for Procter and Gamble products, setting up and running Third Eye, a boutique public relations agency focused on increasing exposure and media coverage for artists and art galleries, and being part of the team that launched Time Out India magazine.


Shailja has a BA in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and a Diploma in Social Communication Media from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai.
