Head, Integrating Child Protection

Ankit spearheads Aangan’s Aspirational district programme that has been launched by Niti Ayog , a Government of India initiative. Under this programme Aangan will ensure the role of an expert partner that will help Piramal foundation bring child protection lens to their education work. In the current financial year this intervention is likely to impact more than 1,250,000 children across 3 states and 5 districts. And potentially will be replicated across 122 most vulnerable districts in india. 


Ankit has been working in the development sector for the past 18 years. He began his career as a project manager in the field of HIV awareness and prevention, and as an advocate for the rights of migrant workers. Prior to joining Aangan, Ankit worked with The London Borough of Ealing in the UK for 7 years, to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children in need of care and protection. He holds a Masters in Social Work degree from the college of social work Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai.
