Bishakha Datta leads Point of View, an Indian non-profit building gender justice in digital

spaces. A former journalist and documentary filmmaker, she is known for her signature

style of blending deep substance with light, creative forms. She co-founded the award-

winning imprint Deep Dives, exploring tech through a feminist lens, and authored India’s

first study on digital obscenity. Currently researching the many [harmful] lives of digital

images, Bishakha is also a regular speaker at global digital rights forums, and has

served on boards including the Wikimedia Foundation and APC. We are thrilled to have

her perspective as we strengthen Aangan’s work at the intersection of gender,

technology, and safety.
